Do you want a peak at next year’s Massachusetts high school football match-ups? The MIAA announced Friday, December 4, 2015, the new Massachusetts high school football alignments for the upcoming 2016 season. Some high school football teams will move up a division. Some teams will move down a division. Some teams will stay in the same division, and some teams will move to new division. The decision is based on a number of factors including the number of male student-athletes attending each school. Furthermore, some schools are moving up several divisions. For example, Chelsea High School is moving from Division Six (2015) to Division IA (2016). Woburn and Revere both went from Division 3 to Division IA, and many Division 3 schools are now in Division 2, and so on. The entire re-alignment is quite interesting.
