Rick Cacciatore, President, presided at the ninth, in-person ANEFO meeting of the 2021 Football Season on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the Irish-American Club. Rick greeted the members and discussed various updates about the football season.
Tom Brow, Rules Interpreter, was the guest speaker. He showed fifteen video clips from seven local high school games including: Austin Prep vs. Bishop Stang, Lynnfield vs. Pentucket, Lynn Tech vs. South Shore Tech, Billerica vs. North Andover, Bishop Fenwick vs. Bishop Feehan, Bishop Fenwick vs. Archbishop Williams, and Malden vs. Somerville. Tom later presented two interesting “You Make the Call” scenarios. The first play involved the importance of pertinent penalty information to captains and coaches before the start of overtime, and the second play involved a facemask foul on the last play of regulation.
