Rule 7 – Scrimmage Requirements

ScrimmageAt the ANEFO meeting on Monday, September 2, 2014, Brian Doherty was the guest speaker.  His presentation was titled “Scrimmage Requirements and Live/Dead Balls.”  His topics included: encroachment, false starts, shifts, illegal motion, illegal formation, delay of game, offside, and live/dead balls.  The handout can be found below.  Brian’s presentation also include five play situations and a video.  Later, Tommy Brow, ANEFO Interpreter, followed with a presentation on restricted linemen, players on the end of the line, opponents on the line, when to blow and throw, illegal motion, and simultaneous catches.  Five NCAA video clips were also presented.  If you were unable to attend, the handouts are attached below.
