Would you like to become a football official? The Association of New England Football Officials (ANEFO), the largest officiating board in Massachusetts, will be conducting its annual certification course for those persons interested in refereeing high school, prep school, and youth football. Classes will begin on Monday, August 31, 2015 @ 7:00 PM and will continue for eight weeks. At conclusion of the course, an exam will be given which, if passed, will certify that person to officiate high school, prep school, & youth football in the state of Massachusetts. A mandatory Field Technique Clinic will also be conducted for all successful candidates. Cost of the course is $75.00 (NCAA Football rule book plus all other materials are included.)
NOTE: Anyone who fails the exam will be able to retake the course and exam the following year for no charge.
All classes will be held at the Irish-American Club, 177 West St., Malden, MA 02148. Interested parties should contact Donald Werner at DWerner@lhand.org or 781-581-8625 or simply show up at the first session.
